Rumble at the Jumble

I'll be at the Jumble selling some choice bits and bobs, so pop down and say hello and grab a bargain or two. There will be Fins, Leashes, Wax, Fin Bolts and maybe a bit of art, well photography, oh and maybe the contents of our shed, been meaning to clear it out for ages.
See you there.

in case we forget

Fins, you gotta love 'em.

Trekno techno techno

One of last years storms was amazing too, so great to get out in the elements even if you get wet and cold even if the kids moan.

Cran O 3

Hell of a wind blowing out today, nobody out but dogs...

Cran O 2

Waves were actually breaking over Goose Rock, although I missed every one with the old camera.

Cran O

Wild and windy out today at CranO, blown out and massive, not missing much with the broken ribs after all.

The anticipation…

I know it's not a log, but we can be liberated and of open mind can't we?

Weekend of Storms

Some pretty heavy weather over the last few days, but today was lovely round these parts.

Like cars?

Cars, surfboards… seems both my hobbies can be pretty world poisoning. But I guess old cars can be forgiven as they haven't been replaced year on year by something new, and they won't be visiting a landfill any time soon. Couple of cool 912's in Anaheim last year.

Thirsty

Great organic cafe in LA served their sodas in jars, couldn't resist a pic.

Green O

Seems whatever fin I think is the flavour of the month it's always, sooner or later de throned by a Greenough or a Frye. Guess those guys know a 'fing' or two about fluid dynamics.

Enough already with the Fin puns.

A few more California shots…

Sorry to bore you all with my Holiday snaps, but here are a few more from the recent trip. This guy on an Eagle was taking everything, tried to engage him in conversation later with no joy, just wanted a peak at his board. Guess I can't be everyone's friend. ;)

Perfect trim

See, old guys do rule.

Five Over

Even sat on the beach with some broken ribs was okay watching surfing this good.

Das Boot

Boot by name…

Running Man

run run run, not sure why I like this shot, just makes me smile. Was part of a sequence of him doing a reverse hang ten, heels over kind of thing, pretty impressive to watch.

House on the Cliff

Often walk the dog past here. Always thought this would make a great HQ. Kind of what you imagine a Finshack might look like, although maybe might be nicer on one of the smaller Hawaiian islands… one day.

Water torture

Can't wait to get back in the water. New board awaits, just need the ribs to heal… maybe a couple of weeks, so look forward to some high pressures and flat seas around about then ;)

Postal Strike UK

Seem to be over the worst of it and all running okay again. Order away!

Postal Strike UK

Well doesn't seem to be affecting things as badly as it might have. Orders seem to be getting through okay, maybe a days delay here and there, but nothing drastic. Order away!

New Fins

Just picked up some Greenough and very rare Hynson fins. Oh and a couple of Velzys. Should be on the site soon. Also should be getting some side bites in for all you performance guys and gals.
Watch this space.

Had an interesting chat about 'backyarders' today, seems they are on the increase. So if you would like to see fins for glassing in let me know and I'll see what I can find, saw quite a few interesting ones in the States recently. Quite fancy trying a board myself, 10' Fish Simmons anyone?

Joe (Motion) Aaron

Joe Aaron creative force behind Joe Motion Fins makes the cover of Pacific Longboarder with this awesome shot. Walking the plank indeed. Check his fins on the website.
