joie de vivre

In California you can park for free at many breaks in dedicated Surf Parks, you can even light a BBQ in a State provided BBQ pit. Have a shower and answer the call of nature.

In France you can park for free and get a shower at many many beaches.

In the Cornwall you have to pay through the nose, no part day parking at some beaches, or even be banned from parking at all if you have a Camper, no shower, no BBQ…

Where's the joy of life Cornwall County Council?

  2. True enough…
Interesting that surfing is reportedly worth £100m per year to the economies of Devon and Cornwall and the Councils seem to do nothing to encourage or support it, but loves nothing better than using it's aspirational imagery to sell the counties as a place to visit, go figure.

  3. Sadly true - Cornwall shames itself in this regard. I love Cornwall but the greed is ugly...
